Women missing for a Decade found in the US

Amanda Berry, missing women in Cleveland

Three women who disappeared in separate incidents have been found alive in Cleveland after over a decade.

Amanda Berry went missing at age 16 in 2003, Gina DeJesus vanished at age 14 a year later, and Michelle Knight also went missing in 2002 around the age of 19. The women were tied up at a house and were held captive there since their kidnapping.

Three brothers were arrested in connection with the case. Cleveland police said the suspects are Hispanic, aged 50, 52 and 54, and one of them had lived at the house on Seymour Avenue.

A frantic 911 call by Berry aroused the attention of a dispatcher to the home where the women were being kept. A neighbour who spotted the woman trying to escape from the house stated that he had no idea that they were being held against their will.

The women were taken to hospital and have since been released.
