Jamaica finishes 9th in CONCACAF beach Football Tournament

Jamaica’s footballers have secured a 9th place finish at the CONCACAF Finals of the FIFA Beach Football World Cup qualifying tournament in the Bahamas.

This after they ran out comfortable 6-3 winners over Puerto Rico in their final game at the tournament.

The result saw the Beach Reggae Boys end the tournament with a win and 3 losses in 4 games.

7th spot meanwhile went to Trinidad and Tobago who had a 4-3 win over Canada.

  

The final in the meantime will be contested by the United States and El Salvador.

The United States advanced after scoring a  4-3 win over Costa Rica, while El Salvador beat defending champions Mexico 1-0 on sudden death penalties after both teams had played 3-3 draw during regulation and extra time.

Both teams as a result of advancing to the final have also secured a spot at the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti from September 18 to 28.
